Sermon Notes (Jeremiah 48:40-47)
The Fall of Moab  

 1.How did the Lord send His judgment upon Moab ? 

 •The Lord sent them destroyer. 

 •The Lord left  them alone in their ignorance. 

 •The Lord stopped their supply lines. 

 2.  Why did the Lord decide to punish Moab? 

•Moab trusted in her deeds and riches. 

•Moab had excessive pride. 

•Moab trusted her god, Chemosh. 

•Moab magnified herself.  

3.The idol worship and the dependency on self and materials are all rooted in the self pride. And it is one of the deadly toxic elements for our spirituality.  

4. What are the lessons we learn from this weeks passages? 

• Trust not self but  seek first His Kingdome. 

• Trust not idol but  worship the LORD alone.

 1.One of the problems of Moab was their self indulgence and dependency on materials.  Do you see the same kind of problem in your life?   

 2.Why do you think our “self pride” is a big issue for God? 

3.Do you see the relationship between   self pride and idol worship?

God Who Makes His Way Known to His People

 1.What are the reasons that they did not know about the way of God?

 •They distrusted  Jeremiah, the servant of God.

•They disobeyed the command of God came through His servant..

•They disoriented the people of God with their own plan.

2.  What are the characteristics of God found in the passages?

 •God who pursuits His servant

•God who predestines His plan for His people

 •God who proclaimes His predestined plans to His people

3.What are the lessons we can learn from it?

•We must listen to His message.

•We must live out His instruction.

•We must lead His people to His direction.
